Just an Observation -- Humor

My eldest called her Abba (father) today, to find out how he is doing.

Moshe explained to her that he is feeling much better, but the doctors want him to keep him in the hospital "for observation."

Without missing a beat, she responded, "Abba, you should tell those doctors that we want you home for observation!"

Please daven (or send happy, healing thoughts) for RivkA bat Teirtzel.

With love and optimism,
RivkA

Thanks for a good laugh - you are amazing, how you manage to find humor in so many things. I really hope Moshe's feeling better and home already or soon. Not that I want anyone in your family to provide this opportunity again, but I would think it must have felt good to be in the opposite role for a change, the caretaker rather than the one being cared for.

Shelly -- It really did feel good. But after 4 days of caretaking, I finally said to Moshe, I can't do the "Florence Nightingale" thing anymore.

I am taking the night off and sleeping in my own bed! Oh, that reminds me -- I have to set the alarm (for SIX AM!!), so I can wake up the kids.

God is making sure I appreciate my husband (who is usually the one getting up at six, to wake the kids)!

Sometimes it's our children that make the unbearable bearable.

RivkA, there you were, feeling physically crummy and unproductive, and now you've managed to take care of not only Moshe but the kids, too!

Hopefully Moshe will be home soon so that you can take care of each other.

Funny. Hope he's feeling better, and you got some rest.

Hope Moshe is feeling better and is released soon. What a horrible experience - glad it was something as "simple" as a kidney stone and I hope it passes easily and quickly. I have heard they are horribly painful....

I know it is a role reversal, but hopefully things will be back to normal soon and you don't have to get up at 6:00 A.M.!
