ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Next Shabbat (כ"ב מנחם אב) is our anniversary!

Moshe and I have been married for 15 years! (keyn yirbu!)

We would like to go away somewhere, just the two of us, and are looking for suggestions.

We would like to go as low budget as possible. The place can be simple (we don't even mind a youth hostel), but there must be air-conditioning.

It does not have to be fancy, just nice.

We are, basically, just looking for a place to get away, where we can be together, and do not have to cook, clean, or take care of anyone else.

Any suggestions?

Please daven (or send happy, healing thoughts) for RivkA bat Teirtzel.

With love and optimism,
RivkA

doesn't time fly?

i suggest you try a beit sefer sadeh, in whatever area you prefer. often they have groups for shabbat with organised meals and you can "tag along" (for money of course) for the meals (they don't always offer catering), do check if the weekend is religious, kosher, whatever, since that is not a given. we did a shabbat like that with our extended family and it worked out nicely (we did it at ein gedi, which also meant we had access to the shmura on shabbat).

the rooms were mostly bunk beds, were very simple, but plenty of AC.

mazal tov and enjoy.

Come to my house - we are not home that shabbat. It has AC, can be made clean and we will arrange food for you - Avraham is a great cook.

Go to the Galil- we were at this *great* place last year (also alone, after I got out of the hospital). It is perfect, and inexpensive. It is called Amirei HaGalil. The guest house itself is a spa as well, and a wonderfully creative Kosher meat resteraunt, where we went for Friday night meal. Where we stayed was a walk away, on Moshav Amirim. The moshav itself is a vegetarian moshav, and the caterers there make *wonderful* vegetarian meals which you order before Shabbat, and pick it up and keep it in your fridge until Shabbat lunch. There are wonderful log cabins to stay in, with jacuzzis and a/c, and they provide a plata for Shabbat. There is a beit Knesset with minyanim and Chabanikim every Shabbat. It is actually the restaurant converted into a beit Knesset for Shabbat.
Call me for more details. They have a website- just Google "Amirei HaGalil".

Even though I am disappointed that y'all won't be with us that shabbat, I hope Amirei HaGalil works out for you- we *loved* it there.

It hard to find a reasonable place in the summer but if you can wait I have great suggestions.
Do you want to be away over Shabbat specifically or would a weeknight be ok?
If you want Shabbat, then some of the Dati kibbutzim have guest house facilities. We like Shluhot in the Emek Yezriel Valley.
If you are doing a week night then I love Zichron Yaakov. We've stayed on Kibbutz Maayan Tzvi. They have a small but gorgeous spa/guest house facility. The rooms are romantic and the view is incredible. Zichron is my favorite place outside of J'm . The scenery is beautiful, the town has the beautiful Moshava atmosphere and there are great things to do and places to visit there, on the way up and around the area.
Be in touch and I'll plan out a great itinerary for you.
Kisses

HI RivkA! Just stopping by to see how you were. Ari and I celebrate our 20th the following SHabbat. WE went away this week to a very nice place called Nachsholim. It's right on the beach, simple, but comfortable. Wishing you weel - my best to Moshe and I hope whatever you do, you make some memories for yourselves!

Love, SarahB

A friend of mine raved about a spa in the Jerusalem forest. No idea regarding prices, etc, but if you want details, email me and I'll get them for you in a flash.
