Looking at these last few days, one would not imagine that we have been sick or that I am exhausted from chemo....
Wednesday night: Moshe and I went to an excellent local lecture by Machon Meir's Rav Uri Cherki about Yom Yerushalayim -- Rav Cherki spoke about our limitations (space, time, and metaphysical) and how Jerusalem breaks through all those barriers.
Thursday night: Moshe, our youngest daughter, and I went to a film about the fall of the Old City in 1948, followed by a moving talk by Natan Gini, who was 12 years old when he defended his home/community in the Old City in 1948.
Saturday night: Moshe and I attended a fascinating lecture about Nechama Leybovitch by Yael Unterman, who just published a book about Nechama.
Sunday night: We went to Neve Daniel to be Menachem Aveilim (comfort mourners).
Monday night: We plan to be home (for a change).
Tuesday night: We plan to go see the Star Trek movie. Anyone want to join us?
Lest you get the mistaken impression that Moshe waited until now to see it.... I will be seeing the movie for the first time; Moshe went to see it the day it came out. ?אלה מה
Please daven (or send happy, healing thoughts) for RivkA bat Teirtzel.
With love and optimism,
RivkA

Wow, I get tired just reading about all the stuff you do. Chemo or not, you still have more energy than most people I know. Keep it up!
Drat! I would LOOOOOOVE to come with you to the Star Trek Movie. No way would G be interested (as you well know). But I have my own busy week, even if I'm not doing chemo. I still maintain that you have tons more energy than most people.
PS Loved your answer to my friend. Thanks for responding to her.
Wow that's a busy week! You are so cultured. That post makes me realize how badly I need to broaden my horizons!
If you are a fan of the original Star Trek characters, you will be in for a treat with the movie! Have fun! Feel good!
Mona -- it is an illusion.... I keep doing the stuff "outside" because that is what interests me. But I cannot keep up with the stuff "inside" (laundry, dishes, clutter, etc.)
Ye'he Sh'mey -- come with us!! (leave G home)
ps. - I am still waiting for a response to my response...
Cheryl -- cool. do it! (there is so much that I want to do, I can't do it all, especially now. I try really hard to remain active. I am rarely sorry when I push myself to do the things I want to do!)
Engineering Goddess -- I am not so familiar with the original series, so I probably won't appreciate it as much as Moshe. But he really wants to talk about the film with me, without "spoiling" it, so I gotta go see it!
Also, there is a Star Trek Convention next week, which we are, of course, attending. For sure people will be talking about the movie.
RivkA sorry I missed out. I wrote to you off-line with a response, but I guess my friend hasn't responded yet.
Engineering Goddess - glad to see you are reading this blog!!!! I owe you a letter, I think.
