Now I can tell you.... How We Managed to Go on Vacation the Week Before Pesach 2010

I did so little to prepare for Pesach because we were not home, AT ALL, for any part of Pesach!

Detailed blog posts will be forthcoming!  (b'li neder!)

Meanwhile, here is a taste of how we spent Pesach:

We went to my Rav's home for Leil HaSeder (Seder night) and the first chag (holiday).

As soon as chag was over, we drove to Sde Eliyahu (a religious kibbutz in Emek Beit She'an) and spent the night at my friend's home.

The next morning, we went to Sachneh (Gan HaShlosha -- a national Park in Emek Beit She'an) for the Israeli Jugglers Convention.  We were there for five days (four nights), including Shabbat.

Then we went to The Muqata for Sh'vi'i L'Fesach (the 7th day of Pesach).

I do not know how long it will take me to "recover" from our vacations, but they were TOTALLY worth the effort!!

Please daven (or send happy, healing thoughts) for RivkA bat Teirtzel.

With love and optimism,
RivkA

I'm so disappointed that I didn't go to the juggling convention... I can't believe you met my husband and princess and I was stuck in boring old Modiin... :)

Oh well... I'll have to meet you another time!

As soon as Yakov mentioned your blog name, I was so bummed that you were not there!!

It would have been fun to camp with you! (tho it is a bit hard on the body!)

I do hope we can meet soon!!

the camping isn't the problem - it's the chasing the baby.

RivkA! Thanks for your kind comment on my blog. I'm loving yours and your resolution to post 2-3 times a week! I TRY, and my co-blogger, V, tries, but we go through dry spells! Blogging has been both a joy and a discipline.

I look forward to visiting you often. C

You guys were so adventurous, especially after Eilat. I didn't know you could camp at Sachneh. Are there actual camping facilities?

Bernie -- I am happy and well... for the most part. We are in the midst of something that I can't really discuss and it weighs heavy on my heart.

LeahGG -- I hear you! Enjoy this time with your baby!! They grow up so fast!!

When my eldest was about a year and a half, I took her camping with me and my parents, at the base of Masada. She crawled over my face all night long! When we woke up the next morning to climb Masada, I was a wreck! (This was way before I had any significant health problems!)

Stickhoursecowgirls -- I love the name of your blog! Now I just have to get straight which initial belongs to which cowgirl!

Michele -- Only groups are premitted to camp at Sachneh, and it has to be arranged in advance. I am not sure what you mean by facilities. At Sachneh, there are toilets and showers. Most of the juggling convention takes place in the "Ulam Sport" (gym room). There are more bathrooms and showers there, but I do not know if that is open for all groups. Call them. They actually answer their phone!
