Rivka leading protest in 1995

Here is the photo I wanted to show during my talk.  It shows Rivka leading a protest in Oct. 1995 against the government and the Oslo Accords, which turned over control of most of the Gaza Strip and large parts of Judea and Samaria to terrorist organizations.  Rivka is leading a flock of sheep into the center of King George Street in Jerusalem;  the demonstration's slogan was that the government was "leading us like sheep to the slaughter".

Thank you to everyone who attended the erev zikaron tonight.

There was a problem with live streaming the event on Facebook while it was happening, but here is the recording.  (It gets underway at 6:30.)

Erev zikaron for Rivka - 5784

We will be holding an erev zikaron (memorial evening) for Rivka, on the evening of the thirteenth anniversary of her passing.

Rabbi Dr. Seth Kadish will be giving a shiur in Rivka's memory on the following topic:

"The Binding of Isaac and the Image of God"

The shiur, as well as the rest of the evening, will be in English.

On account of the situation in Israel, we have decided to hold the event online only, via Zoom.  Everyone who would like to join is welcome and invited to attend.

Zoom meeting details:

Topic: Erev zikaron for Rivka - 5784
Date: Motzai Shabbat, 21 Marheshvan / 4 November
Time: 8:00 pm (Jerusalem, Israel)
Zoom link
Meeting ID: 865 8823 5629
Passcode: 97QrMr

The event will also be livestreamed on this Facebook event page.

For those unable to attend the erev zikaron while it is being held, we plan to make a recording of it available afterward.

Please pass along this message to anyone who might be interested.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you who will be attending!

Moshe

P.S.:  We will be making an aliyah l'kever (visit to Rivka's grave) the following morning (Sunday, 21 Marheshvan / 5 November), at 9:00 am.  (Details regarding the location and prayers can be found here.)  We would like to ensure that we have a minyan, so if you can come, then please let me know.
