The Cough That Just Won't Go Away

I have been coughing for a MONTH!

I have had enough!

I went to my doctor (GP) after two weeks and he diagnosed the source as reflux. So, for two weeks, I diligently took Omrepradex.

It did not help.

So, today I went back and he switched me to Pantoprazole. I'll take that for two weeks.

We'll see.

The cough wakes me up at night, and my chest muscles are sore from all the coughing.

I have gone through several bottles of cough syrup already.

This better work!

Please daven (or send happy, healing thoughts) for RivkA bat Teirtzel.

With love and optimism,
RivkA

Were you using bleach to clean before pesach by any chance? a neighbor of mine just got her cough diagnosed b/c it just wouldn't go away, and it turns out she has chemical burn in the outer layer of her lungs from inhaling bleach fumes (which she didn't smell because of a cold she already had).

Feel better soon!

ps- i've heard that REST can be helpful for recuperation ;^>

Muse -- I wondered about that. But my doc seems pretty convinced that it is reflux related

BW -- Bleach to clean for Pesach? Not in my house! I still have to write my post about cleaning for Pesach -- my girls did all the work!! (OK, I did some too, but they did most of it!)

Rest.... what is that??

Because, you know, you don't have enough medical issues to worry about!

Feel better soon.

I had a terrible cough all through Pesach. [again, parallel universe] When my Sister-n-law, the homeopath, got up and got me a 1/4 teaspoon of honey *each time* I had a coughing fit, I thought she was a bit crazy. But you know what? I got better, and faster than usual (I get bronchitis a lot), and didn't take any synthetic medicines. That was so welcome. So there's my recommendation. Refuah sheleima!!!!

Now you tell me!? I just bought two more bottles of cough syrup!

;-)

Well, I don't think I'm going to stop taking the cough syrup at night, but I don't mind trying the honey too!

Pretty interesting site you've got here. Thanks the author for it. I like such themes and everything connected to this matter. BTW, try to add some photos :).
